November 3, 2008 - MMH Sponsors Emergency Nurse Review Course
(Marietta, OH, November 3, 2008) - Marietta Memorial Hospital will be sponsoring a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) review course on Dec. 15 and 16 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the Graham Auditorium at Washington State Community College.
The review course, presented by MMH’s Staff Development and Emergency Department, will award a total of 15.6 nursing contact hours for participants who attend the presentation.
The intent of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge needed to care for patients with a variety of acute illnesses and injuries. This course will review basic principles of patient management, disaster management and selected professional issues common to emergency nursing. Upon completion of this review, nursing professionals will be better prepared to successfully complete the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) examination. The presentation speaker, Jeff Solheim, RN, CHCA, CEN, CFRN, will bring with him a wealth of nursing background, including clinical nursing in medical/surgical and emergency medicine, cruise ship nursing, flight nursing and nursing management.
