(Marietta, OH, June 16, 2009) – Harmar Place, an affiliate of the Memorial Health System, is holding its first annual Harmar Place Reunion on June 17 from noon – 3 p.m. at the 86-bed skilled nursing facility in Historic Harmar Village.
Along with meeting staff, past residents will be encouraged to take a tour of the rehabilitation and extended care facility in addition to enjoying food and entertainment. “We wanted to invite our former residents and family back to see staff and share with us their experiences since leaving our facility,” says Denise Thacker, director of admissions and marketing at Harmar Place.
Harmar Place offers enhanced restorative nursing care services to people requiring interim care between a hospital stay and going home. In addition, Harmar Place provides skilled and intermediate care units with semi-private and private rooms and also has on staff a recreation specialist who develops individualized and group programs that focus on the mental, physical, spiritual and social needs of residents. One of Harmar Place’s unique resident programs is the Habitat program, which promotes independent living and includes gardening and pet therapy.
