October 29, 2008 - MMH Bloodmobile Locations Announced
(Marietta, OH, October 29, 2008) – Marietta Memorial Hospital’s Blood Bank will be setting up their Mobile Blood Unit at the following locations in November:
Tuesday, November 4 at Thermo Fisher Scientific from noon – 5 p.m
Wednesday, November 5 at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company from 10 a.m.– 2 p.m.
Thursday, November 6 at Marietta Nursing & Rehabilitation Center from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Friday, November 7 at Marietta High School Key Club from 8 a.m.- 3 p.m.
Wednesday, November 12 at Choices Expo (Marietta Comfort Inn) from 2 p.m.- 6 p.m.
Thursday, November 13 at Marietta Armory from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Friday, November 14 at Harmar Place from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Monday, November 17 at Churchtown K of C Hall from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Tuesday, November 18 at Arbors from noon - 4 p.m.
Wednesday November 19 at New Matamoras Volunteer Fire Department from 5 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, November 20 at Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m.
Friday, November 21 at Frontier High School from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. ($5 per person)
Tuesday, November 25 at Cytec Industries from noon - 4 p.m.
Wednesday, November 26 at Heartland of Marietta from noon - 5 p.m.
Anyone between the ages of 17 and 66, with a body weight no less than 110 lbs, who is in good health may be eligible to donate. Donating blood takes about an hour and is an easy process. After donation, normal activities can be resumed, although physical exercise is not recommended for the remainder of the day.
