(Marietta, Ohio, Sept. 24, 2009) – Marietta Memorial Hospital recently announced the relaunch of its new web site – www.mmhospital.org. The updated site is the first in a series of new sites throughout the Memorial Health System, including Selby General Hospital and Glenwood Retirement Community.
The new web sites have been designed to enhance the experience for patients and visitors, providing the most up-to-date information about all of the services the Memorial Health System provides. “Our goal was to incorporate our System affiliation into each site while providing each affiliate a presence that meets the needs of their audiences,” says Jennifer Offenberger, director of marketing/PR for the Memorial Health System. “We are confident the new sites will help web users access information about our services across the continuum.”
The new sites not only have a fresh, updated look, but also offer in-depth information about departments and services, a Find-a-Doctor application, an interactive calendar of events, the ability to see blood supply levels and other tools for staff and the public.
“We are confident the site will provide people with quick and easy access to all of our services and doctors and assist consumers in making educated choices about their medical care,” says Offenberger.
The new web sites are the culimation of a larger and intricate task, but our hospital team along with our external partners at CareTech Solutions provided an effective, appealing and user-friendly web site that is still evolving. The pages are designed to allow for significant flexibility in changing content and color palette to accommodate specific initiatives or health topics. This approach provides System web users with an ever-changing site that is always fresh in its design and current in its content.
Stephanie Johnson, community outreach coordinator at MMH, has coordinated the update of the sites. “Selby General Hospital is now live with its new site and Glenwood Retirement Community will be going live by the end of September, “ says Johnson. “We are excited to promote our services in a new way, providing user-friendly capabilities throughout our System web sites. We are consistently finding better ways to communicate to our audiences, this being one of many initiatives taking place.”
The Memorial Health System is a not-for-profit health system governed by a volunteer board of community members that are committed to providing comprehensive services that meet the needs of our region.
