February 4, 2010 - Go Red For Women Heart Luncheon to be held at the Marietta Country Club

Marietta Memorial Hospital will once again be sponsoring the annual Go Red For Women Heart Luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. The cost of the luncheon is $10, which includes lunch and valuable heart health information and resources.

According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States. More women die of cardiovascular disease than the next five causes of death combined, including cancer.

Marietta Memorial Hospital will once again be sponsoring this heart healthy luncheon to increase awareness and the importance of caring for women’s hearts. Speakers for this year’s event include Marietta Memorial’s  Dr. Joseph Mayo, M.D., Ph.D., interventional cardiologist, as well as Dr. Shane Parmer, M.D., vascular surgeon.

For more information on this event, contact Wendy Shriver, Community Relations Coordinator at (740) 374-1634.
