September 9, 2010 - Marietta Memorial Hospital Employee Receives Prestigious Certification
Judy West, BBA, RN, CCRN at Marietta Memorial Hospital, recently passed the critical care registered nurse exam. This certification is given to nurses who show competency in providing care to acutely or critically ill adult, pediatric and neonatal patients.
“By receiving this certification, Judy has shown that she is committed to her craft,” says Claire Mendenhall, educational services, Marietta Memorial Hospital. “She now joins six other critical care registered nurses currently working in the intensive care unit.”
Through certification, nurses demonstrate their mastery of skills, knowledge and abilities as they progress along the continuum of life-long learning. Achieving and maintaining these types of certifications helps assure that a nurse has met rigorous requirements in a specialized area of practice.
