May 9, 2011 - Diabetes Awareness Day to be Held May 11
Marietta Memorial Hospital’s Diabetes Education Center will be celebrating Diabetes Awareness Day on Wednesday, May 11 from 1 – 3 p.m., at the Belpre Senior Center. This event is free and open to the public. Door prizes and refreshments provided.
Events taking place will include:
• Reduced cost Hemoglobin A1c lab screening offered for $12. Registration required by calling (740) 568-5232.
• Sugar substitutes cooking session by Kathy Doddrill from the OSU Extension Office.
• Dr. David Buck from MMH’s Department of Family Medicine in Belpre will discuss “Diabetes from Head to Toe.”
• Vendor booths.
