May 9, 2011 - Marietta Memorial Hospital Receives Aster Award

Marietta Memorial Hospital recently received a Silver Aster Award for their employee hand washing campaign. The Aster Awards are one of the largest national competitions of its kind. This elite program recognizes outstanding healthcare professionals for excellence in their advertising/marketing efforts for the calendar year 2010. Entries must score at least in the top 16 percent to receive an award. Judging criteria includes creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal. A Silver award winner scores in the top 12 percent in the nation. “The quality of this year’s entries went well beyond the judges’ expectations,” said Melinda R. Lucas, Aster Awards program coordinator. Congratulations to Memorial Health System’s Marketing Department for their commitment to excellence. For more information on this award, contact Jennifer Offenberger, director of marketing & pr, at (740) 374-1797.
