November 8, 2007 - Ohio Council for Home Care announces Leo Cunningham of Marietta Ohio nominted for the Caring award.

“The Voice of Home Care and Hospice,” the Ohio Council for Home Care, has announced the nominees of their most prestigious annual awards. They include Becky Jackson with Home Nursing Service and Hospice of Marietta Memorial Hospital for the Homemaker/ Home Health Aide of the Year.

The Homemaker/ Home Health Aide of the Year recognizes an outstanding, caring and dedicated caregiver with at least five years of experience in the industry. Cynthia Carpenter, the director of Home Nursing Service and Hospice, nominated Jackson stating on her nomination “Her (Jackson’s) positive attitude and compassion for the patients she serves makes her a role model.” Jackson has been with Home Nursing Service and Hospice for 14 years and is frequently named specifically on the client satisfaction surveys year after year.

Founded in 1965, OCHC is a statewide trade association that represents 372 home care and hospice agencies in the state of Ohio. Membership is open to home care and hospice providers, suppliers to home care and hospice industries, and individuals not employed by a home care or hospice agency. The OCHC is proud to be the voice of home care and hospice in Ohio.
