Marietta Memorial Hospital is offering a free posture screening on April 25, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm in the Second Floor Conference Room of the hospital.
Poor posture is at the core of many muscular, vascular and even breathing problems. Achieving good posture involves training your body to stand, walk, sit and lie in positions where the least strain is placed on supporting muscles and ligaments during movement or weight-bearing activities.
The screening will be Presented by the Wayne Street Physical Therapy group: Ann Marie Lowers, MSPT, ATC; Kim Smith, DPT, ATC; Laura Freed, MPT, MLD/CDT; Holly Damron, PTA; Jill Long, PTA and Brian Watkins, PTA. This group of highly trained professionals will work to educate and screen your posture to help you learn simple techniques for a straighter, stronger and healthier you.
