Q:  How often does the medical director make rounds at Harmar Place?
A:  Weekly.
 
Q:  Does Harmar Place provide services for short-term rehabilitation?
A:  Yes, we have physical, occupational and speech therapy.
 
Q:  How often does my mother receive therapy?
A:  Daily, Monday through Friday.
 
Q:  Does Harmar Place have RN's on staff 24/7?
A:  Yes
 
Q:  Can my mother's family physician see her at Harmar Place?
A:  If the family physician has privileges at Memorial Health System, then he or she would also have priveleges at Harmar Place.
 
Q:  Is it true that Medicare pays for the first 20 days at 100%?
A:  Yes, as long as the patient has had a three-day stay in the hospital within the last 30 days and has a need (physical therapy, occupational therapy, wound care, etc.)
 
Q:  Is Harmar Place certified by Medicare and Medicaid?
A:  Yes.
 
Q:  What types of financial programs does Harmar Place accept?
A:  We accept Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, hospice and self-pay.
 
Q:  Are all of your rooms semi-private?
A:  No, we have private and semi-private rooms.
 
Q:  Does Harmar Place charge for laundry services?
A:  No, we only ask that family members mark patients' clothes with a laundry marker.
 
Q:  Will my mother have access to a TV and phone in her room?
A:  Yes, all of our rooms have TV and phone hook-up capabilites.  Family members must provide the TV for long-term care patients; short-term care rooms have TV's.  We will provide a telephone for all rooms.
 
Q:  Does Harmar Place have transportation for patients who have outside appointments (dialysis, chemo, etc.)?
A:  Yes, we have a van with a lift, and we try to accommodate as many of our patients as possible.
