Preparing for Your First Visit

The first visit to a cancer center can be stressful. From all of the questions you may have to all of the unknowns; there may be a million things running through your mind. At Strecker Cancer Center, we want to make your first visit as comfortable as possible. Here are some things that you can do to prepare for your first visit:

  • Organize your medical records
    • Insurance cards
    • Medical history
    • Current medicines you are taking
    • Allergies
    • Family medical history
    • Check your insurance coverage
  • Get directions and information on when you should arrive from staff at Strecker Cancer Center
  • Arrange for travel with a family member, a friend or caregiver if you need help
