Q. Is Memorial Health System a not-for-profit organization?
A. Yes. The Marietta Memorial Health Foundation is a 501??(3) charitable organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. We are eligible to receive private gifts, matching gifts from corporations and those that support educational activities.

Q. Will my gift really make a difference?
Hospice Volunteers A. We are not able to fund charity care, health education, equipment and buildings on our own. Since Marietta Memorial was founded in 1929, we have relied on the thoughtfulness of patients and friends who share our dedication to improving health and quality of life in our region. Every gift, no matter what the size, is needed and used wisely.

Q. Can I donate to a specific department of the hospital?
A. Yes, you can indicate the department or program you'd like to support through your gift. Families often use gifts as a way to remember special care for a loved one and help future patients at the same time.

Q. What payment methods does the Foundation accept?
A. Cash, check, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover) via phone or by mail. Make checks payable to Marietta Memorial Health Foundation and send to P.O. Box 97, Marietta, OH 45750. To make a gift of life insurance, securities, real estate or other asset, call the Foundation office at (740) 374-4913.

A. The Online Giving page on this website is designated for memorial or special occasion gifts. Or call us at (740) 374-4913.

Q. How do I create an endowment?
A. An endowment can be established with a gift of $25,000 or more. Endowments are usually funded from an individual gift, bequest, trust, estate gift or corporate donation. The gift is invested and proceeds benefit Marietta Memorial patients in perpetuity. For more information about setting up an endowment, call the Foundation at (740) 374-4913.
