Our health system consists of a 200 bed acute care hospital, a 25 bed orthopedic hospital, 2 urgent care centers, a rehabilitation center, a free standing emergency department, a ACOS accredited Cancer Center (2 campuses) and 100+ physician practices. Our medical staff is comprised of a 200+ specialists including (but not limited to): surgical oncology, bariatric surgery, thoracic surgery, 24 hour hospitalist coverage, plastic /reconstructive surgery and interventional cardiology.
The city of Marietta boasts unique shops, exceptional dining and a vast array of cultural and entertainment venues. Smithsonian Magazine has named Marietta to its list of "Top Communities to Visit in 2014"
Located on the Ohio and Muskingum rivers, Marietta is a recreational paradise offering golfing, water skiing, fishing, hunting, and boating for warm weather recreation and skiing and snowmobiling within driving distance in the winter. Marietta has also been named by National Geographic Magazine as one of the top adventure communities in the nation (#1 in Ohio).
Due to our centralized location, travel to a variety of destinations is a pleasurable experience. Marietta is conveniently located directly off of Interstate 77 providing a comfortable drive to Columbus, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. The Mid-Ohio Valley Regional airport provides a variety of daily flights to Washington-Dulles International Airport. Marietta is a very safe community with an excellent school system. In addition, there are 5 institutions for higher learning in the immediate service area.
Employers in the service area include DuPont, Hino Motors, the US Treasury Department, and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
