Gastroenterology

Our expert gastroenterologists are trained to diagnose and treat problems in your gastrointestinal (GI) tract and liver. We offer healthy, age-appropriate patients the flexibility to take control of their GI health with our open access colonoscopy service to schedule a screening colonoscopy. This program allows our patients to bypass the pre-procedure visit to our office. To schedule an open access colonoscopy call the 24 Hour Nurse Line at (844) 474-6522.

Have consistent heartburn or reflux issues? Our Heartburn Center is the only one of its kind in our region, providing advanced and personalized treatment for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other digestive tract issues.

A colonoscopy is advised for all average-risk patients, age 50 and older, as a method of colon cancer screening. Patients with significant illnesses (i.e. poorly controlled diabetes, significant cardiac disease, severe breathing problems, and kidney problems) should schedule a consultation prior to the procedure.

Patients can also be referred to the Department of Gastroenterology for a screening colonoscopy. Once your provider’s referral is received, our office schedules you for a phone interview with an advanced practice provider. They will discuss past medical history or ongoing problems. Once complete, our staff will review your medical history, obtain a prescription for the bowel preparation, and call you to receive final instructions for the colonoscopy.
