At Memorial Health System, we strive to provide the information you need to understand every aspect of your care.  In keeping with this promise, as well as compliance with state law, Memorial Health System is providing this price list for our services.  Memorial Health System charges the same for all patients, but depending on payment plans negotiated with individual health insurers, your responsibility may vary.  Additionally, if a patient is uninsured or underinsured one of our financial counselors can help determine eligibility for discounts. 

Room and Board – Per Day Charges

Room and board charges include the use of a hospital room, meals, routine supplies (such as soap, toothpaste, tissues, and other personal care items) and the nursing care received during your stay. Medications, medical supplies, diagnostic studies, treatment procedures, and physicians’ services, etc. are billed separately.

Labor and Delivery Charges

The delivery prices represent average gross charges for an uncomplicated delivery for the mother’s stay. Because each delivery is unique, charges may be higher or lower depending on the needs of the patient. The charges for normal newborn deliveries are based on a well-baby, single birth. These charges are averages only and do not include physician services.

Emergency Department Charges

Charges for emergency room care vary based on intensity and complexity of the patient care required. There are four categories of charges for Emergency services; a facility charge, a physician level charge, charges for diagnostic testing performed, and charges for medications and supplies. The facility level charge includes personnel resources, equipment resources, and the type of services provided. Level 1 is basic emergency care. Level 5 is the most complex emergency care and includes critical care and complex emergency care. The physician level charge is for the physician’s service for assessment, diagnosing, and treatment and is dependent on the complexity of the presenting problem and level of medical decision making involved.

Operating Room Charges

Operating Room charges vary based on the intensity and the complexity of the case and include the room, personnel, resources, equipment resources and routine supplies with level 1 being the most basic. Patients having general anesthesia or IV sedation will also incur a recovery room charge. Medications, medical supplies, anesthesia, additional ancillary procedures and physician services are billed separately.

Hospital Billing Policies

Marietta Memorial Hospital treats all patients, regardless of their ability to pay for services. We accept all insurances, and will submit claims to insurance companies on behalf of our patients. We depend on prompt payment of accounts to continue to provide excellent healthcare services to the community.
