During the past year, 213 volunteers have donated 29,504 hours of service. Besides their time, volunteers have donated to several different programs and provided items such as baby burp cloths and puddle pads for the hospital’s nursery, heart pillows for patients with heart conditions, and stuffed animals for children treated throughout Memorial Health System.

“Our volunteers are priceless!” shares Cindy Hall, Volunteer Services Supervisor for Memorial Health System. “They are key to our success, and we are proud to celebrate them.”

“The banquet’s theme this year was Volunteers, the Heart of our Community, and that statement couldn’t be more true,” explains Hall. “Our volunteers make an important difference in the lives of our patients and their families through the thoughtful things they do. They make every experience more meaningful and positive, helping in countless ways — from greeting and escorting patients and guests, delivering flowers, and bringing veteran flags to our veteran patients, to providing parking assistance, supporting nursing teams, and working behind the scenes in offices, medical records, and other areas of the system. We are pleased to have this opportunity to recognize the volunteers for their commitment and dedication to our system.”
