As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Oommen primarily performs diagnostic and treatment procedures, and follow up care. In this subspecialty of cardiology, specialized imaging and other diagnostic techniques are used along with the catheter-based treatment of heart diseases.
Education and Experience
Dr. Oommen completed his cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology fellowship at University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. In Washington, DC, he practiced internal medicine at Med Star Georgetown University Washington Hospital Center for his residency program. He graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in Miramar, Florida. Dr. Oommen is also board certified in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology.
