I really want to say that the Personnel, you needed me from the entry into the new cancer facility, which I had not been to for a year. Or very efficient, very helpful in great considered of my needs. And make sure I got to where I needed to be with a very short length of time in Dr. Cawley office, your blood test might my own. Dr. Kelli Cawley it was my first visit with her. She was exceptionally informational. Upon my first visit with her and what issue,health issue or issues that I have she is very explanatory about everything to me and for me she gave me time to go through things very professional, just an excellent doctor the quality of doctor. That she is or was for the first appointment I had with her was exceptional and that is one of the reasons I came to her. I know others that I’ve had her as their physician with their health situations. (INAUDIBLE) and so I just think she’s a very awesome Dr. Kelli Cawley has an awesome doctor her communication.

Dr. Cawley took her time in explaining my diagnosis and treatment options. She wrote and drew everything out on paper so I could visually see it and have a better understanding of my situation. Everyone in the office from the receptionist to the nurses were kind and considerate. I have all the confidence in the world in Dr. Cawley and feel we are fortunate to have her as a doctor at MMH.

Exorbitant amount of wait time for this appointment. It was about an hour and a half before I even got into see the nurse. Then a shorter wait. That’s NOT counting the amount of time I was there for another test earlier and so sat there a long time. So I was there about three hours for a short visit with doctor. The doctor and staff are tops.

We were very impressed with the total office especially with Dr. Cawley and with Chester. We was just so well informed and we felt 100% better after leaving the office after talking with Dr. Cawley. Everyone was extremely friendly from the receptionist all the way through. Hello. I’ve been coming there for the same condition for probably 7 years now and I have always got very personalized care. Everybody’s calling Dr. Cawley is excellent. The nurse practitioner is and physician assistants for also, excellent and all the people that’s giving me my treatment. I’ve been excellent except for during the covid when I had to start treatment up again. I had one nurse in the strecker center. When you take treatment not wear her mask properly and she I asked her to do it. She said old trust me. I’m one of the safest people you’re going to be around. Well that’s not good enough.

There’s absolutely nothing bad. I can say about Dr. Cawley. She is very easy to understand, always there with her questions and so isn’t her staff. I have been dealing with her since 2015 and if she moved it Timbuktu, I would follow her to keep her as my provider.

Receptionist, Denise & Debbie, were very welcoming and efficient. It was a joy to be there because of their friendliness and helpfulness. The nurse, Holly, was beyond compare! She was kind, efficient, helpful and kept my appointment in a very welcoming state. What a jewel! Dr. Cawley was a continuation of the rest. She was super kind! She listened to me, and was so helpful and knowledgeable in her explanations of my health problems. She was patient with me constantly making certain that I understood all what she shared. I found the new facility to be very disappointing. The waiting area of was just impersonal and awful. The map for knowing where I was going with a blob. It did not picture the various buildings, which would have been helpful in showing me where I was to park and it’s also confusing in this call you used the words Strecker cancer center, but when I get there, I learned that you could no longer use those terms, and I didn’t see them on any of the buildings. So I didn’t know if I was in the right building or in a treatment building, so, I’m very disappointed in the whole Belpre environment. Thank you. Bye.

From the first minute I walked into the office, everyone was so very nice and friendly, and Dr. Cawley and her nurse were the best that I’ve ever met. They are high, top quality physician and assistant. I’m telling you, they were really good. I’m really satisfied, and yesterday she called me back, the nurse called me back to talk to me about some questions and reservations I had about taking chemo. My appointment was on time. My doctor was there along with her assistants, and they were very helpful, very knowledgeable about my status. They answered the questions that we had for them, about my condition and medication and all that. But everything was very good and I would recommend Dr. Cawley, and her associates anytime.

Overall it was a great visit with the nurse and the provider. I would only suggest that the clerk at the registration desk right outside of Dr. Cawley’s office she could just be a little more friendly and seem, you know, just have a more peppy attitude towards, you know, patients that are coming in and out.

The only thing that was wrong with my visit was they had me scheduled to go to Marietta, and we got to Marietta a few minutes before time for my appointment, and found out that it was (INAUDIBLE) they called ahead and made arrangements for them to wait for us. But that was some mistake somebody with appointments had made.

Dr. Cawley and her team are absolutely wonderful. They have truly helped to make my transition to the Strecker Cancer Center a smooth and easy process. I am extremely grateful for the genuine care they provide me during each of my treatments. I would not be able to fight this battle without the amazing support from Dr. Cawley, her team, and all the wonderful Strecker Cancer Center nursing staff. I am thankful the Strecker Cancer Center has been moved to the Belpre location. Having all the services in one location has been a great benefit. The new building is nice, however I would strongly challenge the hospital administrators to understand changes need to be made to create better functionality and safety for the staff and patient experience. For example, I have used three bathrooms in the new building, and none of the doors are ADA accessible for those in wheelchairs. Also the bathroom floor door thresholds are not made with an incline transition. Therefore, if a patient is walking with their IV pole, they have to lift the pole up to go over the door threshold. Additionally, the patient chairs (while nice) provide a challenge for the the patient to put up their own feet. The lever is blocked by a side table, and a nurse has to pull the lever for every patient that wants their feet up (which is almost every patient). The administration should recognize and acknowledge the new space has some functional challenges for their staff as well. Staff experience and comfort in the building is a vital part of providing care and support to the patients. Functionality of a building and space is an important part of the patient experience. You want your patients to feel comfortable and relaxed to help meet their needs. Lastly, you should be actively seeking ways to develop community support for the patients. Go beyond what is expected (i.e, updating your website, or creating/combining the hospital and Strecker Cancer Center patient portal system to make it better and user friendly). Think of new ideas that are different and out of the box (ask patients for ideas, ask nursing and front desk staff for ideas). Overall, the hospital administration should want to develop a cancer center that provides a comprehensive experience to help their patients deal with the emotional and physical effects of their disease and prepare for their next steps. For me, Dr. Cawley, her team, and the Strecker nursing staff continue to provide me hope and expert care while I am going through life-changing experience.
