We had gone to a different neurologist in Parkersburg prior to this practice. The difference is like night and day. We appreciate the care we have received from Dr. Howley and Kim Crum. They were thorough and caring. They have explained some options that may be available. Although limited, we have felt that they take us seriously and provide what information they can.

Just don’t feel like “I’m not changing nor giving any meds” although I’m suffering EVERY SINGLE DAY was what should’ve happened. I’ve had chronic neck pain for years. This daily spine pain and headaches is overpowering the neck pain I have everyday. On the plus side, I got an appointment quickly and everyone was nice!

The only drawback is that at the end of my visit I was given print outs about bariatric weight loss surgery. I was there for migraines and had very clearly acknowledged my BMI and morbid obesity and how it may impact my health on a larger scale but made clear I was not there to discuss that at this time and previous experiences where my health issues were discounted and I was prescribed weight watchers only with no other care are the reason it took me 5 years to begin seeking heath solutions again. I have visited several other MMH offices/providers in the last few weeks and while they all had the same info as to my weight/BMI I didn’t get that print out. I struggle with existing in this body for a number of reasons and it was certainly not helpful to my physical or mental health to unexpectedly receive information on weight loss surgery let alone from the neuro dept. I understand it may be an automatic system that adds that paperwork due to my BMI or something but I think that is utterly ridiculous and WILDLY problematic and for me at least certainly did far more harm than good. I’m not someone who leaves negative reviews but felt strongly enough about this that I had to say something.
