I have been a patient at this doctor’s office since Dr. Avery came to the Parkersburg area. On January 26th, I was very unhappy by the way I was “treated”. I was telling the NP how I had been feeling and what I thought was bringing it on (the lockdown due to COVID; the election; the break in at the Capital; not being able to see friends, all of which are legit reasons for being depressed. (this was a wellness checkup). She then started saying that she was in favor of stopping the impeachment on Trump and she seemed to be trying to get me to agree with her. This is NOT appropriate for a doctor’s visit. She then left me in the hallway telling me to go out and wait for the girl to take my blood, but didn’t give me any paperwork…the girl who took my blood got my paperwork for me. She seemed more focused on getting a patient out of the office (since they were running behind on appointments) instead of listening to me. I hate to say this, but I have yet to meet, or even see, Dr. Santer who took over for Dr. Avery. This I don’t understand. I am paying for seeing a Doctor not a Nurse Practitioner. I am VERY UNHAPPY with visit. Sorry for ranting, but if I could find another doctor, I would change doctors in a minute!!

I didn’t clearly understand the directions about waiting in my car outside the door. I told the office I was in my car – across the door but in the parking lot. Even called and said I was there. Because I wasn’t in the lane directly outside there door they didn’t know I was there and I had to wait an hour. Not until I saw where another car pulled up did I get someone to come out. I even called. Communication is hard – I know but I left frustrated. Once seen all was good.
