I saw Nurse Practioner Jacqueline Lather for a referral because I could not get in to see Dr Gunovich in a timely manner. She explicitly refused to refer me to the doctor I needed to see in Columbus (his office was waiting for the referral) more than once and stated she would only refer me to Dr. Nenow in Parkersburg. Ms Lather stated she was more worried about what the ENT in Columbus would think of her if she referred me to them than my medical needs. She also falsified my records stating on my patient instructions follow-up “none, none, pt does not wish to see us” I said nothing of the sort!! I was there for a referral and that is what she should have put on the form (She made it sound like I refused treatment). Furthermore, Ms Lather walked out on my appointment twice! The second time was after she made me wait 2 hours after walking out on my original appointment. Ms Lather needs a refresher on professionalism and an attitude adjustment. Furthermore, after telling me she would not refer me to the ENT in Columbus (3 times), Dr. Gunovich’s office called me the next day telling me they sent the referral after all!!! As it turns out, I was able to get an appointment with the ENT in Columbus before your receptionist called me. The husband of a dear friend of mine was at the ENT doctor’s office in Columbus and when her husband relayed my experience with Ms Lather, to his ENT doctor, the doctor had me call his receptionist and his receptionist got me an appointment in two weeks (sooner than I could have seen Dr Gunovich). I also want to state that Ms. Lather treated the receptionist very badly during this entire episode. I felt very badly for the receptionist. Dr. Gunovich is a wonderful doctor that I would like continue to see but I will never ever make an appointment with Ms Lather and I certainly do not ever want to be in the same room with her alone!
