It seemed like a very long wait once I got back to the exam room. I understand others waiting might have more pressing problems than mine but it was long wait time. If they double booked me because of my need to see a provider, they needed to tell me up front so I would know the wait will be long.

Instructions on what to do upon arrival of appointment – I waited in my car for 20 minutes because I thought I was pre-registered and was following the instructions. I called on the main phone and no one answered, I walked into lobby and ask receptionist if I was supposed to wait in car or come in. She said you were to come in and register, no apology for the confusion just take it and go sit down.

I’m not a huge fan of the check in app. Might have been my fault but it didn’t register that I was there. I had to wait longer than expected for an 8:20 appointment. This is not a negative comment towards the practice personnel. They literally didn’t know I was there after having checked in on the app.

Just because someone is young, it does not mean they are uninformed or not well read. If I, 21, had been alone, each of my symptoms would have been ignored as a whole. Instead, it boiled down to mono and stress, which is inaccurate. We waited in the patient room for 30 minutes and as we left, we heard the nurse practitioners were double booked all day. This does not allow for thorough and thoughtful care. If the doctors are not going to be in the office 5 days a week and the only options for I’ll patients is a nurse practitioner, your office needs at least two more. Medical care is stressful enough These days, especially when patients and staff don’t wear their masks properly. (Hint: where does one test for Covid, the nose, so cover it. Feeling as if my concerns were not being taken seriously unless someone over 40 is with me, does not instill confidence in my ongoing care. I have a very high threshold for pain, so if I come to the doctor in pain, I am really in pain. Thank you for listening. I am sure some of the disregard was due to being double booked. Please let your people do the job they spent years training for, more nurse practitioners would be great.

Yes, I had just had a heart catherization done, and was supposed to see the Dr, Dr. Sarah Taylor in this office, and the receptionist refused to give me a appointment for two weeks. Said they were too busy, and they specifically told me at the hospital to see my Dr within 2 days, and when they called to find out the Dr, they could … or the hospital, I told them they wouldn’t let me have an appointment for two weeks. They couldn’t believe it. So, I had a reaction to medicine called in, asked specifically to see Jane, because … Jane Niswonger, because she has always done a great job, and I got right in, and she was great. I will never go to that … that office, except to Jane, and if I have to deal with the office people there, I don’t know if I will continue with Marietta Memorial Hospital
