April is National Donate Life Month
Hi my name is Carrie Alton and I work at Marietta Memorial Hospital. This month, the month of April, is Donate Life Month. I’m here to tell you a little bit about my story and how I lost my daughter. Unbeknownst to me and her Dad, she was an organ donor and she was able to save four lives with with her organ donation.
My story with Lindsey starts with getting that dreaded phone call that nobody ever wants to get at 1 o’clock in the morning that she was found in cardiac arrest and had been taken to the Emergency Room. She was in ICU for several days but bottom line was that she ended up on life support and she was not waking up from it.
