Our Diabetes Education Center
Our Diabetes Education Center team believes that education is an essential component in the care for those living with diabetes. We partner with each patient’s provider to make sure patients have the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve and maintain optimal health. Our goals are to reduce the risk of both short and long-term complications that may develop from diabetes.
Our Diabetes Education Team, accredited by the American Diabetes Association, is a comprehensive group of specialists that work with patients, their family/caregiver, and primary care provider. Our team of experts includes:
- Administrative Assistant
- Certified Diabetes Educators
- Nurse Educators
- Registered Dietitian (RD)
Our main location is at our Belpre Medical Campus, next to our Department of Endocrinology office.

Why Choose Us
Award-Winning, Experienced Treatment Team
We are proud to offer the latest in endocrinology diagnosis and treatment options, close to home. All of our staff members are specialty-trained and ready to provide the latest treatments for endocrine conditions. Dr. Libu Varughese received the Super Doctor Award in 2022.
Compassionate Patient-Centered Care
We focus on providing patient/family-centered care. Our endocrinology team takes the time to get to know each patient, their complete health situation, and their treatment goals. We involve patients at each step of the care process, and always keep them informed of what’s happening with their health care plan.
Coordinated Care with Specialty Providers
When needed, our endocrinology team can work to coordinate care with other specialty providers across the Memorial Health System network. We work to streamline care so patients can focus on getting well, instead of spending lots of time coordinating medical appointments and specialists.
