A Major Announcement
Hello, I’m Dr. Renee Caslow. I am one of Memorial Health System and Akron Children’s. I’m a Pediatrician. Today we have announced the development and creation of the first ever Women and Children’s Center in the Mid-Ohio valley and it’s going to be right here on the Belpre Campus. This will also house the first-ever Level 2 NICU that we’ve ever had in the area. This is HUGE. The infants born in this facility will have access to this Level 2 NICU which will allow most of these kids to be able to stay when they need a little bit of elevated care right here with their moms.
When an infant needs elevated care they generally have to take a helicopter or an ambulance ride to Columbus or Akron and the ability to keep more of those kids at home, here, with their moms… it’s just remarkable. It is the most amazing thing to have this kind of access in the Mid-Ohio valley.
