Another Robotic Surgery Victory: General Surgeon Tuan Nguyen, MD, Completes 1,000 Surgeries

A decade ago, Memorial Health System (MHS) introduced the da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical system, enhancing our ability to perform minimally invasive procedures that lead to improved outcomes and faster recovery times for patients. Late May, General Surgeon Tuan Nguyen, MD, completed his 1,000th robotic-assisted surgery using da Vinci.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to use the da Vinci robotic system to advance surgical care here in Marietta. I am looking forward to the next 1000 cases and improving surgical care in the MOV,” Dr. Nguyen says.
Robotic surgery has transformed how providers operate at Memorial Health System, becoming a cornerstone of care across multiple specialties—including oncology, general surgery, OBGYN, urology, and more.
The expansion of the da Vinci system to nearly every service line within Memorial Health System has been a game-changer for surgical patients. Our dedicated teams have embraced the challenge of refining their skills and expertise, delivering world-class, minimally invasive procedures that shorten hospital stays and help patients recover faster.
