Memorial Health System’s Selby General Hospital Celebrates National Recognition for Cleanliness
Memorial Health System is proud to announce Selby General Hospital’s recent recognition of a 5-star cleanliness rating based on patient survey feedback from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS).
A national, standardized survey distributed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), HCAHPS gathers feedback from patients concerning their recent inpatient hospital stay. Based on their responses, the data is then compiled and released by CMS as part of their Hospital Care Compare Program, which publicly shares information about the quality of care across hospitals in the United States.
Selby General Hospital earned a 5-star rating specifically for cleanliness, reflecting patients’ confidence in the hospital’s environment, safety standards, and commitment to infection prevention. This recognition places them among the top-performing hospitals nationwide in this important aspect of patient care and further highlights Memorial Health System’s dedication to providing exceptional patient care.
“This award is such an honor, and my staff and I are overwhelmed with joy and excitement that we made this list,” shares Selby General Hospital Environmental Services supervisor, Kelly Allen. “My staff understand the importance of their job duties and that they are the front line for infection control. They understand that this rating comes from Patient Satisfaction Surveys, which means that their hard work and attention to detail don’t go unnoticed—it takes all of us to keep the hospital flowing and operational.”
