Memorial Health System and Medical Mutual extend 22-year relationship

(Jan. 18, 2021, Marietta, Ohio) – Memorial Health System and Medical Mutual renewed their commercial and Medicare Advantage contracts, extending their 22-year partnership into September of 2023.

Through this relationship, Memorial Health System continues to be an in-network provider for patients insured by Medical Mutual. This guarantees Memorial Health System patients covered by Medical Mutual receive the highest quality care, access to a broad choice of healthcare providers and highly competitive market rates for their healthcare services.

“We’re pleased to be able to renew our contract with Medical Mutual,” said Scott Cantley, President and CEO of Memorial Health System. “Together, we are ensuring patients receive the most appropriate care for the best price possible.”

Likewise, Medical Mutual understands the contract extension is a major benefit to healthcare consumers in the region.

“We are pleased to continue our strong relationship with Memorial Health System and employer groups in the Washington County area,” said Ben Stoffer, Regional Vice President for Medical Mutual. “This multi-year extension provides stability for our jointly served members/patients, guaranteeing access to this outstanding health system.”

Founded in 1934, Medical Mutual is the oldest and one of the largest health insurance companies based in Ohio. The company provides coverage to more than 1.6 million Ohioans through high-quality health, life, disability, dental, vision and indemnity plans.
