What is a Medical Oncologist?

As a medical oncologist, Dr. Shah has been educated and trained in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. Oncologists work in collaboration with other providers such as radiation therapists, surgical oncologists, hematologists, and even primary care providers in order to provide a holistic approach in all aspects of care.

Education and Experience

Nik Shah, MD completed both his medical fellowship in hematology and oncology and his medical residency in internal medicine at Berkshire Medical Center of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Dr. Shah earned his Doctor of Medicine from NHL Municipal Medical College in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
