Patient Process

Your weight-loss journey is a step-by-step process designed to set you up for long-term success. From initial consultation to pre-surgery preparation and ongoing support, take a look at the process of being a patient with us

Step One: Initial bariatric consultation and bariatric informational session
Meet with our bariatric providers and attend a Bariatric Informational Session to learn more! 

Step Two: Weight management visits with a dietician
Complete 6-12 visits (once a month) focused on nutrition and lifestyle changes. 

Step Three: Support group meetings
Attend at least two support group meetings (more are always encouraged!)

Step Four: Patient optimization
We’ll coordinate referrals for behavioral health (psychology), pulmonary, sleep medicine, cardiology, labs tests, ultrasound, and others as needed.

Step Five: Second visit with provider
Gastroenterology consultation for an upper GI endoscopy and discuss gallbladder evaluation

Step Six: Third visit with provider
Final chart review and informed consent discussion before surgery.

Step Seven: Pre-operation class
Learn what to expect before, during, and after surgery

Step Eight: Hospital phase of care
Surgery day and recovery with expert care! 

Step Nine: Follow-Up and support
Continue follow-ups for long-term success!
