Clinical Trials

Memorial Health System is one of the most active clinical trial sites in Ohio. Through ongoing nationally recognized cancer research and trials, we are able to offer treatments that won’t be available to the general public for months or even years from now. These clinical trials are conducted by our expert team of surgeons, specialists, and providers who are dedicated to improving the detection, treatment, and outcomes of cancer-related diseases. We are proud of our role in finding new ways to treat and beat cancer on all fronts.

For more information about cancer clinical trials, please contact Lori Parker, RN, clinical research coordinator, at (740) 568-5386.

Conditions We Treat

  • Breast cancer
  • Colorectal cancer
  • Cutaneous malignancies (melanoma)
  • Lung cancer
  • Other types of cancer
  • Prostate cancer
  • Soft tissue malignancies (sarcoma)

Services We Offer

Currently, there are over 100 clinical trials available through the Belpre Cancer Center. These trials include cancer treatment and cancer prevention studies.

National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP)

The Cancer Center provides access to clinical cancer trials in our community through an affiliation with National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). NCORP is a program of the National Cancer Institute that provides benefits including designing and conducting clinical trials focused on cancer prevention, supportive care and symptom management, screening, and surveillance.

Why Choose Us

Compassionate Patient-Centered Care

We focus on providing patient/family-centered care. We provide all cancer services in a single location, including treatment, imaging, procedures, and physician appointments. We involve patients at each step of the care process, and always keep them informed of what’s happening with their health care plan.

Nationally Recognized Leader in Community Cancer Care

Our Center has been accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). We’ve been designated as a comprehensive community cancer program, which demonstrates our commitment to bringing the latest in effective, research-backed cancer treatments close to where our patients live and work.

Coordinated Care with Specialty Providers

When needed, our team can coordinate care with other specialty providers across the Memorial Health System network. We work to streamline care so patients can focus on getting well, instead of spending lots of time coordinating medical appointments and specialists.
