Laboratory Services

When you need lab or imaging services, such as a mammogram, x-ray, or blood test, you want it done quickly and easily. That’s why Memorial Health System has conveniently located outpatient facilities that can perform laboratory testing and a wide variety of imaging services. Some locations offer lab studies only, others a wide range of diagnostic imaging including, x-ray, mammography, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, and more. Our outpatient facilities utilize the hospital’s state-of-the-art clinical full-service laboratory equipped to perform testing which spans the major disciplines of laboratory medicine. You will benefit from quick, accurate results.

Before Your Lab Visit

Please remember many tests will require an appointment. The following are some helpful reminders before you go:

  • Be sure to follow pre-test instructions, some tests may require you to fast or wear comfortable clothing. It will be very important for you to follow directions to get the most out of your test.
  • If you’re not fasting, come later in the day. Late morning and afternoons are less busy times.
  • Arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow for registration and for you to be on time for your scheduled testing. This applies to those that have preregistered. Please note: for walk-ins, it’s first come, first served. Some tests may take longer than others.
  • Please bring your insurance card and photo identification.
  • We accept most major insurances. Please consult your insurance plan to determine coverage for any testing that is to be performed.

Walk-in Laboratory Tests

Lab tests require a provider’s order. No appointment is necessary at our laboratory locations.

Sistersville General Hospital’s hours for drug screen collections are Mon – Fri 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. by appointment only.

CAP Accreditation

The Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) awarded accreditation to our laboratory based on results our on-site inspection conducted by CAP inspectors. During the CAP accreditation process, designed to ensure the highest standard of care for all laboratory patients, inspectors examine the laboratory’s records and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years. CAP inspectors also examine laboratory staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety program and record, and overall management.

This significant accomplishment further proves our commitment to high-quality patient care. Our laboratory is one of more than 8,000 CAP-accredited facilities worldwide and we are proud to be a part of such a stringent program.

Coronavirus Fact Sheets

Check-in for Outpatient Diagnostics

To comply with social distancing, we are asking walk-ins (non-scheduled patients) at our Belpre Medical Campus Outpatient Diagnostics to remain in their vehicle and call for further instructions. A Patient Access Representative will ask a few questions and they will send a link to the patient’s cellular device so the registration can be completed electronically. Once complete, patients will remain in their vehicle until they receive a call or text message and then they can go directly to an exam room.
