Marietta Memorial Hospital Announces Belpre Expansion
Marietta Memorial Hospital President and CEO Scott Cantley has announced the groundbreaking of additional healthcare facilities at the Belpre Medical Campus in Belpre, OH. Speaking to the Belpre Chamber of Commerce at their noon meeting today, Cantley shared the need for a greater presence and services to western Washington County.
The new facilities, expected to be an additional 50,000 square foot of space, will be situated on Farson Street, right next to the medical campus the health system officially opened this July. Cantley says this next phase is part of the health system’s overall strategy to expand care close to home.
"We are committed to strengthening healthcare by providing residents with expanded services that meets their needs,” says Cantley, “Our partnership with physicians enables us to work together to develop a health system that provides timely, convenient access to a multitude of services and specialists. It’s in the best interest of our community.”
The Marietta Memorial Hospital Belpre Medical Campus opened this year and provides 50,000 square feet of healthcare services. The project cost about $12 million and provides access to primary care, specialty care services, OB/GYN care, diagnostic services, the Strecker Cancer Center and Physicians Care Express. The newest building is set to be complete by July 2013.
