Graduate Medical Education
Memorial Health System’s Graduate Medical Education Department is training outstanding leaders in every field of medicine. This is accomplished by providing graduate medical education programs that enable students, interns, and residents the opportunity to develop outstanding clinical and professional expertise. Our department focuses on clinical experiences that emphasize excellence, compassion, and ethics at the pre- and postdoctoral levels. Trainees will receive personal attention to ensure that Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) core competencies have been met.
Our department consists of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program and a Family Medicine Residency Program. We also work with West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) and Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OUHCOM) medical students by offering rotations for the entire academic year.
