Radiologic Technology Program

Radiologic technologists are specially trained healthcare professionals who assist radiologists by producing radiographs used to diagnose pathology and injury. Technologists focus on patient care and use technology to provide quality healthcare to our patients. The mission of our radiography program is to prepare competent, entry-level radiographers with the ability to function within the healthcare community.

Our two-year Radiologic Technology Program is a Memorial Health System-sponsored Certificate Award Program with articulation from Washington State College of Ohio (WSCO) for the A.A.S. degree. RADT courses begin each fall and consist of six consecutive semesters of study. RADT didactic courses are held at Washington State College of Ohio; labs and clinical rotations are held at Memorial Health System’s campuses, including Belpre Medical Campus, Marietta Memorial Hospital, Selby General Hospital, Wayne Street Medical Campus, Physician’s Care Express: Marietta, Physician’s Care Express: Belpre, and Athens Medical Campus, as well as the Belpre and Marietta First Settlement Orthopaedics locations.

The program’s current award is 8 years. General program accreditation information and the current accreditation award letter can be found on the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology’s website

Students complete the program in July of their second year. Graduates of the program (Certificate Award and A.A.S. degree) are eligible to sit for the ARRT national certification exam to become a registered radiologic technologist. All non-RADT courses are open enrollment classes and may be completed prior to or during the program. Our program is accredited by The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), 20 North Wacker Drive, Suite 2850, Chicago, IL 60606-3182. Telephone number is (312) 704-5300. URL is www.jrcert.org. Email is mail@jrcert.org.
